MOMA Scholarship: Dear Candidates, in this article we will expand Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholarship that helps needy students regard to Minority Sectors or Minority communities like Parsi’s, Sikh, Buddhists, Christians,  which cannot be able to do a higher study for their brilliant future only due to poverty.

To help this student, MOMA Scholarship helps approx. 20,000 students get the advantage to continue their study. All skilled and confident applicants who have big dreams and want to use their talent to fulfill their dreams. The Moma Sanctioned List 2017-18 will update after the result declaration.

Features of the Moma Scholarships:

  • This scheme supported by the state government or the UT administration.
  • These scholarships are mainly for those regions, where the population of minorities is high.
  • With this Scholarship, about 30% of scholarships allocated for girl students of minority category.
  • Only 2 Student Candidates from each family can take advantages of this awards.
  • Every year approx. 20,000 minority communities students helped under this scholarships Scheme everywhere the nation.

Classes of MOMA Scholarship:

There are the two classes of the MOMA Scholarships which listed as below:

  1. Post Matric Scholarships
  2. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme

MOMA Scholarship

Post Matric Scholarship:

Under this Post Metric Scholarship Scheme MOMA, those Students of Government, as well as Suitable Universities, Private Colleges, and Institutions of India will award Scholarships who wish to keep continued their Higher Education study. Many of Students leave their study after the 10th or 12th standard especially Girls only due to financial crises for further study which is much expensive than Basic study.

It will also include the Vocational and Technical Courses in Industrial Training Centers or Industrial Training Institutes affiliated with the NCVT-National Council for Vocational Training. The scholarship aims to award the worthy students who belong to economically weaker sections and to help them to pursue education from class 12th to Ph.D. and Vocational/Technical Courses for developing their postgraduate skills.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarships:

Educational Records Scored 50% marked or above in the previous final examination
Annual Income Income of student’s parents or guardian should be less than Rs.2 lakh or belongs to Below Poverty Line (BPL) Families.
Criteria Only two students from every family can take advantage
Reservation for Girls Students 30% of the scholarship for girl students

Merit cum Means Scholarship Scheme:

Under this Merit cum Means Scholarship-MOMA Scheme, those students can take economic Support who belongs to minority communities and want to pursue the technical and professional courses. Those candidates belong to belonging to Minority communities wish to continue or wanna pursue postgraduate (PG), undergraduate (UG), professional and technological courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Means cum Merit Scholarship:

Those students who have taken admission to a recognized university/college to pursue professional/technical courses, by a competitive examination.

Education record have minimum 50 % marks at higher secondary/graduation level

How to Apply Moma Scholarship 2017-18 & Approved List:

Candidates who are eligible can fill a form online or offline mode. For offline student can fill form from the institute or colleges.
